As I state in this post a public figures personal life is just that, personal. Too often we allow personal intrigues to rob of us great leaders, and far more frequently we accept poor leaders because they do not have obvious personal foibles. With that said, I recognize that my life is a relatively unique set of experiences, and there is no question that those experiences inform my opinions. So in the interest of giving my musings a context, and to prove that I have a life outside of being a political busy body, I invite you into my world. Though my posts may betray a sober and pragmatic approach to public policy, In my down time, among my close friends and family, I do view my self as a care free, adventurous person, and among my inner circle, my laissez-faire spirit in juxtaposition to my serious personal persona have caused my nickname, "The international man of leisure". So if you have something better to do, at all, this would be the time to push the power button on your computer, otherwise enjoy these episodes from the lighter side of my life.

And last I do recommend that you view these episodes in order, there is a logic to them.

And so it began

So this whole video blog thing began because of a road trip a friend of mine was on. Those of you who actually read The Routt Report know how complex and uninteresting my life is. Well I was going to join said friend for a portion of the cross country trip. I hadn't seen her in a few months so I knew there was going to be that "What have you been up too . . ."  discussion. Since I didn't want to talk about it, I figured I would just make a movie, show it to her, and that way get to skip the whole deal and focus on drinking too much on Bourbon Street. So here it is the first video in the series that evolved into, Shawn Coleman, International Man of Leisure.
